on friday, i went out to the neafc expo in west springfield to check out the exhibits and the new apparatus deliveries. dave stewart and myself stayed out in springfield area for the night to buff the western mass area. we were awoken around 0820 hours on saturday for a reported house fire with occupants trapped. the fire, at 671 bay st in springfield, claimed the life of two children, a 17 y/o and a 4 y/o. it was a very sad scene for all of those who were there. i have added my photos to the site. i'm hoping my next time out to springfield isn't as bad.
