several incidents added.


i have added photos from a working fire in providence, ri from last friday. pics from yesterdays funeral for east bridgewater ma deputy fire chief robert fairburn and shots from this afternoons pedestrian accident in brockton ma. four pedestrians were struck while crossing north main street. one was medflighted to boston immediately following the accident, and atleast one other child who was struck was medflighted after being treated at the brockton hospital.
i plan to add a ton of submitted photos to the site tomorrow. hopefully... we'll see.

deputy chief robert fairburn arrangements.


Robert D. “Bob” Fairburn 53 life long resident of East Bridgewater died unexpectedly Wednesday March 25. He was the loving husband of Ruth Ann (Almeida) Fairburn, and devoted father of Donnie, Elizabeth and Daniel.
Born in Brockton and raised in East Bridgewater he was the son of the late Robert Stewart and Loretta (Sullivan) Fairburn and a graduate of East Bridgewater High Class of 1974.
Bob served on the East Bridgewater Fire Department for thirty two years, the last thirteen as Deputy Fire Chief. He was an active and respected member of the community and served as a role model for many.
He was a member of the Satucket Lodge.
In addition to his loving wife and children he is survived by Ruth Ann’s parents Donald and Louise Almeida and his sisters Loretta Susan Cotta and Cindy Wright.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respect Sunday March 29 from 2-6 PM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel Plymouth Street (Rt. 58 at the rotary) Whitman. His funeral service will be held Monday March 30 at 10 AM from the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, followed by a mass at 11 AM in St. John the Evangelist Church, East Bridgewater. Internment will follow in the Beaver Cemetery, East Bridgewater.
In lieu of flowers, college educational accounts have been set up for the children at the East Bridgewater Savings Bank 29 Bedford Street, East Bridgewater, MA 02333.

st patrick's day working fire.


photos have been added from bridgewater's working fire this afternoon on plain street. the buys made quick work of this fire that was on the second floor of a 1.5 story wood framed dwelling.

working fire in halifax.


i have posted images from this afternoons fire in halifax. the fire fully engulfed the mobile home at 32 natureway circle. it was well-involved upon the companies arrival around 1300 hours. i'm attending a tech rescue drill in kingston later tonight, pics should be up either tonight or tomorrow some time.

at least some people are seeing some action...
i have posted several new photos from several different area photographers of recent incidents. jim hudson sent in shots from a gas leak in rockland ma yesterday. stephen walsh has sent in photos from an mva in brookline earlier today and an oil truck mva which occured in newton earlier this month. one of paul shea's images from a 4th alarm in worcester, a week or so ago, can be seen to the left. dave stewart has submitted photos from the funeral of acton firefighter leo hayes and from a 5th alarm in boston ma.
i will be shooting a technical rescue drill tomorrow night, so keep checking the site for those photos.
